  1. WBFIX 1.0

  3. This fix only applies to users that have a SoundBlaster Pro16 ASP with
  4. the Waveblaster Add on Card.
  5.  
  6. This will allow SSI games that support the Roland SCC-1 General Midi sound 
  7. card to be used with the Waveblaster.
  8.  
  9. 1) Apply the fix
  10.  
  11.     Run the program WBFIX, if your BLASTER variable is present the
  12.     message "Fix Applied" will be displayed.
  13.  
  14.     If the message "Fix NOT Applied" appears the Environmental variable
  15.     BLASTER has not been set in the autoexec.bat file or it has become 
  16.     corrupted. Installation of the SBP16 ASP software should correct 
  17.     this problem.

  20. 2) Run the Sound Installation Program
  21.  
  22.     Run the program SOUND found in the games directory.
  23.  
  24.     The message SBP16 ASP detected will appear.

  26.     Select Multiple sound card installation
  27.  
  28.     For the Music Card select ROLAND SCC-1 General Midi
  29.  
  30.     For the Digital Sound Card select SBP16 ASP

  32.     The sound installer will locate the sound cards...

  35. 3) When running the game first run WBFIX, the game will then run normally
  36.  
  37.     If the game locks up the program WBFIX either was not run first
  38.     or WBFIX did not successfully locate the BLASTER variable.
  39.  
  40.     In the batch file that starts the game this may be automated by
  41.     adding the line WBFIX as the first line in the file.
