  1. THE CHAMPIONSHIP MANAGER 2 PATCH
  2. ================================

  4. The zip file contains version 1.56 of Championship Manager 2. To
  5. install this new version, you will need to own a CD copy of the original CM2.
  6.  
  7. Then, at the dos prompt, do the following :-
  8.  
  9. 1) Copy the file PATCH.ZIP into the directory where you
  10. installed the game originally.
  11.  
  12. ex. COPY PATCH.ZIP C:\CM2
  13.  
  14. 2) Change to this directory.
  15.  
  16. ex. CD C:\CM2
  17.  
  18. 3) Unzip the zip file. You will be asked if you wish to overwrite
  19. the files already in the directory. Press "a" to overwrite them as
  20. necessary.
  21.  
  22. ex. PKUNZIP PATCH.ZIP
  23.  
  24. 4) Type GO to run the game as normal. Once the opening menu screen
  25. appears, you can confirm that the patch is correctly installed by
  26. checking that the version number at the top left of the screen reads
  27. CM2v1.56.

  29. VERSION CHANGES

  32. The file CHANGES.TXT contains a list of the bug-fixes and gameplay
  33. enhancements for this version.

  35. PREVIOUSLY SAVED GAMES
  36. ======================

  38. Please note that you will NOT be able to run the game with any
  39. previously saved games. The new version is incompatible. Strange
  40. things will happen if you attempt to do this (Andy Cole might score
  41. an important goal for example !!!).
