  52. Modem Initialization String
  53. ---------------------------

  55. The files MODM28_8.TXT, MODM14_4.TXT, MODM9600.txt, and
  56. MODMINIT.TXT will be installed into your football directory with
  57. this update.   The game will read the file MODMINIT.TXT to find
  58. the initialization string for your modem.  The other three
  59. files contain recommended initialization strings for 28.8K,
  60. 14.4K and 9600 baud modems.

  62. If you are encountering any problems connecting make sure each
  63. of you have selected the correct Comm Port and Baud Rate selected.
  64. If you are still having problems connecting to another modem,
  65. copy the appropriate initialization string file to MODMINIT.TXT.
  66. if you are still having problems, change the initialization
  67. string in MODMINIT.TXT using any text editor (such as EDIT).
  68. Consult the manual for your modem for how to properly initialize
  69. your modem (Football does NOT use error correction or data
  70. compression).
