  6. This patch fixes a few lingering Ascendancy bugs, and also incorporates the 
  7. 'u' command-line switch for UNIVBE force-loading.

  10. If you're playing the English version of Ascendancy, use the file
  11. PATCH.EXE. Just copy it into the directory you installed Ascendancy to,
  12. and then type "patch" to run Ascendancy. If it causes problems, make sure
  13. you have the right version by typing "patch v": the version displayed should
  14. be 1.6.5.

  16. If you're playing a non-English version of Ascendancy, use the file
  17. F_PATCH.EXE. Just copy it into the directory you installed Ascendancy to,
  18. and then type "f_patch" to run Ascendancy. If it causes problems, make sure
  19. you have the right version by typing "f_patch v": the version displayed
  20. should be 1.8.5.
