  4.                     Patch to Version 1.1 Release Notes

  7. This patch upgrades the floppy version of Aces of the Deep from 
  8. 1.0 to 1.1.
  9.  
  10. You can identify your version of AOD by pressing ctrl-v while running
  11. the simulation.  Your current version must be: Version sim 4.27,
  12. shell 4.7 (AOD v1.0).  The patch will upgrade AOD to: Version sim 4.30,
  13. shell 4.8 (AOD v1.1).
  14.  
  15. Before you upgrade AOD to a new version make sure that you 
  16. have a backup copy of your old version.
  17.  
  18. To upgrade to the new version copy files patch.exe and patch.rtp
  19. to your AOTD directory and type from your AOTD directory:

  23. Your configuration files and saved games remains unaffected. 
  24.  
  25. After patch has completed successfully, you may delete files: patch.exe and
  26. patch.rtp and aod11.zip
  27.  
  28. Fixes in the patch:

  30. - Random lockups especially when music is playing.
  31. - Player sub sometimes teleported to new location after running aground.
  32. - '-' key didn't always work to decompress time.
  33. - After surfacing electric engines may sometimes still be running
  34. - Sub would not maintain depth and kept surfacing
