  5.        INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:                
  6.        
  7.        1)  Insert the Patch Disk into the appropriate floppy disk drive.
  8.  
  9.        2)  Select the floppy drive containing the Patch Disk.  For example,
  10.        if the disk is in drive A, type: A: <ENTER>.
  11.  
  12.        3)  Type: INSTALL followed by the drive on which you installed the
  13.        original Aces of the Pacific program.  For example, type:
  14.        INSTALL C: <ENTER> if you previously installed Aces of the Pacific
  15.        and 1946 to your C: drive.
  16.  
  17.        NOTE:  If you have moved your Aces files to a directory other than
  18.        \DYNAMIX\ACES, type the new full directory path after the drive 
  19.        letter when you run install.  For example, if you have moved Aces
  20.        and 1946 to the directory \GAMES\ACES on your D: drive, then you 
  21.        would type: INSTALL D:\GAMES\ACES <ENTER> for proper installation.

  23.        PATCH ENHANCEMENTS:
  24.  
  25.        This patch corrects several issues that were discovered in 1946.  
  26.        Below is a brief outline of the issues that were addressed:
  27.  
  28.        Single Missions:
  29.        Tapes will now be saved correctly in training missions.
  30.  
  31.        Career:
  32.        - Pilots stationed on Kokubu airbase no longer fly missions from 
  33.        the middle of the ocean.
  34.        - USAAF pilots no longer get assigned to attack American
  35.        warships.
  36.        - USAAF pilots no longer drop out of autopilot with "friendlies 
  37.        encountered" messages during escort bombers missions.
  38.        - The program no longer displays a Shell System Error when the
  39.        player squadron is given a new aircraft type.
