  64.     A dll file which the program uses has been effectively removed starting with Windows XP,
  65.       replaced by a small dummy file and emulated by another dll. I was unaware of this until now
  66.       and so since I began compiling the program under Windows XP (starting with version 3.4.3),
  67.       the installer, when ran under previous Windows versions, would replace the older version file
  68.       with the new one, causing this program, and all other programs which rely on the dll, to stop
  69.       functioning. This problem has now been fixed and I apologize for the inconvenience. If you
  70.       are running Windows 95/98 and have installed a version of this program which caused that
  71.       problem, you can download a small (199k) program to correct it from the following URL:

  80.     Now when moving the text cursor, there is no annoying, quick movements of it, and when
  81.       moving into values, it will now recognize rather it is a quoted or unquoted value,
  82.       and respond properly when typing. (If it's unquoted, then a space will end the value
  83.       and begin the next paramater as it should.) Any bugs involving the wrong colors being
  84.       used after moving to a new location should also be gone. Whenever you paste text, it
  85.       will always be colored correctly now as well.
  86.     When inserting an image or a link, you can now choose a file on your harddrive, then select
  87.       the path which will be relative to your webpage.

  111.     The Find/Replace dialog can now search for multi-line strings.
  112.  BUG FIXES:
  113.     After opening a file from the Recent menu, saving would sometimes not work
  114.     In the FTP client, transferring more than one file at a time by using the Upload/Download
  115.       menu commands, would not work. It would instead only transfer one of the files. The buttons
  116.       to transfer files did work however, and it seems the problem didn't exist on Windows 98.
  117.     Under Windows XP, holding Shift while clicking the Linebreak toolbar button, would not insert
  118.       the tag at the end of the current line.    
  119.     When using either the Replace All command of the Find/Replace dialog or the Multi-File
  120.       Replace tool, if the Replace text contained the Find text, the program would enter into
  121.       an infinite loop because the Find text is not being removed. Now when using these funtions,
  122.       only one pass is made through the file instead of until the Find text no longer exists.
  123.     The Find Next button of the Find/Replace dialog was not working correctly
  124.     In the Insert Image window, both the Border and the Align options were inserting the Alt text
  125.     The program would occasionally crash when pasting an HTML tag
  126.     When the "show icons in menus" option was turned off, the dropdown list of the Open toolbar
  127.       button would not work.
  128.     The text color of highlighted menu items, when using the "icons in menus" option without the
  129.       "Office-style highlighting" option, is now correct. Previously, the text color would not
  130.       change when highlighted, making it hard to read when using darker XP visual styles.

  140.     You can now add your own scripts in the Scripts window.
  141.     The recently used documents list now contains up-to six items, instead of four. The menu
  142.       has also been moved to a submenu and added as a drop-down list of the Open toolbar button.
  143.     The menus now have icons in them, and you can customize their appearence in several ways.
  144.     Now nearly every window has it's own distinctive icon, instead of them all using the same one.
  145.     There is now a Help button on the Change Resolution dialog which will explain what the list
  146.       of graphics modes mean.

  164.     By default, Windows treats .shtml files as text files, but now when you install the program
  165.       they are given the same icon and behavior of .html and .htm files.
  166.  BUG FIXES:
  167.     Fixed an "overflow" problem that would occur somewhat frequently under XP
  168.     Under XP, the current document would be marked as changed before you even started one,
  169.       so after loading the program and opening a file, you would get a message box asking if you
  170.       want to save the current file before opening the new one.
  171.     The Save As dialog's title was incorrect
  172.     In the FTP client, the percent complete would be incorrect if the file being transferred
  173.       was a megabyte or more in size. This would also cause the elapsed and remaining time

  246.     The FTP client can now be resized and maximized

  254.  BUG FIXES:
  255.     Fixed a potential problem with running the program in countries that write the date as
  256.       dd/mm/yy instead of mm/dd/yy. I'm not 100% sure what effect the problem had, but it may
  257.       have caused the program to completely not work in those countries.
  258.     After opening a document at the root of a drive, such as "C:\index.html", the Open dialog
  259.       would not work on the next attempt. You could fix this by opening a file in the Recent
  260.       menu which was in a folder, then clicking Open, but now it's completely fixed.
  261.     When sorting by date in the FTP client, files with a two-digit year in the 90s would be
  262.       sorted as newer than files after the year 2000.
  263.     Fixed a problem with using "include file"
  264.     Replace was not working correctly, it was finding and highlighting the text, but not replacing
  265.       it. I think this bug is from one of the 3.1.x versions.

  274.     The FTP client now supports uploading, downloading, and deleting multiple files at once,
  275.       via a queue. The new queue also shows the current speed and elapsed/remaining time
  276.       of the transfer. Also, you can can cancel a transfer by right-clicking the queue item
  277.       and selecting Remove From Queue.
  278.     In the FTP Client, "Auto" has been added to the Transfer Type dropdown. When in Auto mode
  279.       it will automatically use the correct mode, either ASCII or Binary, depending on
  280.       the type of file you are transferring.
  281.     When you delete local files in the FTP client they are now sent to the Recycle Bin
  282.       instead of being permanently deleted.
  283.     Include Virtual is now supported. The difference between include virtual and include
  284.       file is explained in the Misc Tag window.

  295.     If you had an unsaved document open, then began to Edit a file from an FTP site, when

  308.     HTML coloring is now a LOT faster, in most cases two to three times as fast. This is due to the
  309.       fact that now it takes the same amount of time to color 2 characters that are next to each other
  310.       and of the same color as it does to color a string of 2,000 like characters. So when this is
  311.       applied to comments and values twenty or thirty characters long, it really adds up. This also
  312.       means that when opening text files which have no HTML tags, that there's no longer a need to hit
  313.       the Cancel button, because it will be instantaneous.
  314.     The Import From URL tool will now prompt you if you have an unsaved document open
  315.  BUG FIXES:
  316.     Standard Wizard would begin on the second tab, rather than the first (from v3.1)
  317.     Both Wizards and the Import from URL tool would crash when HTML coloring is turned on (from v3.1)

  327.     Added the "Margin" CSS attribute to the list of CSS properties (in the Advanced tab)
  328.     The "Working Directory" button in the Preview window now not only shows the path that
  329.       browser is working from, but also the path that the document you are working on is
  330.       stored in. It also allows you to change the working directory to the current document's
  331.       directory. This is useful when you've previewed one file, then opened a new file from
  332.       another folder and previewed it without closing and re-opening the preview window, which
  333.       causes the relative paths to images to be incorrect. So now you simply hit the Working
  334.       Directory button and switch the working directory to be the same as the document that
  335.       you're workin on and all of your images will show up.
  336.     When pasting RTF formatted text that has Bold, Italics, or other styles, it will now be
  337.       changed to match the style of the rest of your document.
  338.     If HTML coloring is turned off, when you turn it on in the Options dialog and click OK
  339.       the document will be colored, so now you don't have to click Refresh Colors after turning
  340.       it on.
  341.  BUG FIXES:
  342.     Fixed the size of local files in the FTP client being returned as "ERROR"
  343.     Fixed files occasionally being ordered incorrectly when sorted by filesize in the FTP client
  344.     Using "Replace All" with color-coded HTML turned off would crash the program. That bug
  345.       was introduced in version 3.1
  346.     Select All was always disabled. Another new bug from version 3.1
  347.     Sometimes the titlebar of the Preview window wasn't updating until you hit Refresh
  348.     If you had HTML coloring on, copied some text to the clipboard, turned coloring off, then

  361.     When previewing a webpage, Server-Side Includes will now be processed. SSI is normally
  362.       only possible when ran from a webserver, but now you can edit your pages offline and
  363.       view them with full SSI support. This makes it much easier to see how your page will
  364.       be displayed online, especially if some or all of your site's layout is included by SSI
  365.     All Insert windows (and the Color Converter) now have a "roll-up" button for when you
  366.       need a better view of your document without closing open windows.
  367.     There is now an option to allow multiple Insert windows to be open at the same time
  368.     Ctrl+B now inserts the <br> tag
  369.     Added status bar to Preview window

  395.     When picking your page's colors in the Wizard, if you changed your mind and opened
  396.       the color dialog again to alter the color, it would not still be set in the dialog,
  397.       instead it would be defaulted back to one of the basic colors.
  398.     Sometimes changing the font would only effect the first line of text
  399.     Using Replace All would cause the entire document to be colored one color
  400.     The automatic check for updates would not start checking at the set interval until
  401.       after the first time you checked manually.
  402.     All windows will now be displayed correctly when using large titlebars. Each window which
  403.       is resized to a fixed height (such as when you click the help icon in an Insert window)
  404.       was not taking into account that not everyone's titlebar is the same height, especially
  405.       if you are using skinning software. Therefore the window may have been cut off at the
  406.       bottom by a few pixels.

  421.     The "Fix File Formatting" tool has been moved into the new "Multi-File Processing"
  422.       window. There is now five different functions for operating on multiple files:
  423.       replacing text, inserting text, stripping HTML tags, changing case, and fixing
  424.       linebreaks.
