- In this screen you select your keyboard <em>type</em> (in the top window)
- and the keyboard <em>mapping</em> (in the bottom window). The type of the
- keyboard describes the keyboard hardware. The mapping determines things
- like what character will appear on the screen when you press a key.

- Many people nowadays have 101 key PC keyboards (inside and outside the
- USA), so the "Generic 101-key PC" option will do well for them. Microsoft
- Natural keyboards are also popular. These are sometimes referred to as
- "ergonomic keyboards" because the main key area is split into the logical
- keys that match "home row" and the split keypads themselves are angled to
- reduce wrist tension. If you have neither, one of the other options
- should fit your configuration.
