  6.     In this screen you select your keyboard <em>type</em> (in the top window)
  7.     and the keyboard <em>mapping</em> (in the bottom window).  The type of the
  8.     keyboard describes the keyboard hardware.  The mapping determines things
  9.     like what character will appear on the screen when you press a key.

  13.     Many people nowadays have 101 key PC keyboards (inside and outside the
  14.     USA), so the "Generic 101-key PC" option will do well for them. Microsoft
  15.     Natural keyboards are also popular. These are sometimes referred to as
  16.     "ergonomic keyboards" because the main key area is split into the logical
  17.     keys that match "home row" and the split keypads themselves are angled to
  18.     reduce wrist tension.  If you have neither, one of the other options
  19.     should fit your configuration.
