-
- Description
- -----------
-
- NetStat provides simple tracking of your Dial-Up stats.
- Stats are broken down into sections.
- Current Stats provide details on your current connection.
- Connect speed, duration, Idle time (total time with no
- network activity), Bytes Received, Bytes Sent, Current
- bytes/sec.
-
- Session Stats provide overall details since windows was
- started.
-
- Custom Stats allows the user to start/stop a counter to keep
- track of specific things like how long it takes to download
- linux.
-
- There are also Detailed Stats which can show you day by day
- or monthly stat totals.
-
- Transfer Meter displays your current transfer activity on a
- line graph.
-
- Installation
-
- In order for NetStat to continually keep track of your
- stats its recommended you run NetStat when windows start,
- Simply put a shortcut to NetStat in your Startup folder.
- Known bugs
-
- When after setting meter peek it does not remain fixed. If a
- faster byte/sec is received the meter ignores the meter peek
- and grows beyond it.
-
- Changes in NetStat 1.9
- ----------------------
-
- New features:
- - Added an option to automatically start NetStat via the
- start menu or system registry.
-
- - Added a configurable interval for saving stats to disk.
- (default 10 seconds)
-
- - Right-clicking the icon in the system tray now provides
- Connect/Disconnect.
-
-
- Changes:
- - The default interval has been changed from 1 second to 10
- seconds, this greatly reduced NetStat CPU usage.
-
- - Monthly stats are now saved to a separate file for each
- month. This eliminates the problem with INI files being
- limited to 64k in size.
-
- - Detailed stats now allows you to display totals between
- two user defined dates and keeps track of the number of
- calls.
-
- Bugs:
- - None
-
-
- Limitations
- -----------
- - NetStat only supports a single dial up adapter and one
- modem.
-
-
- Upgrading from 1.7
- ------------------
-
- - Run the included upgrade.exe, this will convert the old
- statistic file to the new format.
