  1. EditAda is an Ada programmers editor for Windows 3.1 . The
  2. program is designed to take advantage of the graphical environment to make Ada programming
  3. easier. One of the most difficult things about Ada is that there is so much of it. EditAda
  4. has all 179 syntactic constructs of Ada available in menus, modeless floating dialogs, and
  5. directly accessible from the right mouse button. Other features include:

  7. 1. Ability to open hundreds of windows at once (Open Workspace...)
  8. 2. Ability to save hundreds of files at once with a (Save All and Save Workspace...)
  9. 3. Ability to run your compiler (compiling the top open window) (Apps menu)
  10. 4. Clip lists to save symbol names in code (no more scrolling to find that symbol
  11.    name you can't remember) (Edit/Paste List).
  12. 5. Ability to analyze the top window for Ada types (Types/Dialog)
  13. 6. Ability to paste Ada language templates directly into your code (Templates or Right Mouse Button)
  14. 7. Ability to expand selected Ada constructs with the right mouse button (select syntax and
  15.    click right mouse button. If Paste Ada is highlighted, select it and see what happens).
  16. 8. Ability to configure the editor with your own Applications in the Apps menu (do a save 
  17.    workspace as EditAda.wsp to save them as default).

  20. EditAda is outstanding for use by beginning Ada Programmers because they no longer need to 
  21. spend most of their time thumbing through the Language Reference Manual and struggling to remember
  22. where that comma, colon, or semicolon goes. Any syntactic construct is a mouse click (or 2) away.

  25. includes the Windows Help capability), along with notification of updates. This will give you
  26. full access to the capabilities of EditAda beyond the hints provided in items 1 through 9 above.
