  29.     If you have downloaded this product then unzip the archive into a
  30.     temporary folder on your hard drive and run the INSTALL program
  31.     found in that folder.  You may then delete the temporary folder.

  33.     If this product was supplied on a CD-ROM then run the INSTALL
  34.     program found on the CD-ROM.

  40.     Version 3 contains 21 enhancements and 9 bug fixes.  For a full list,
  41.     please see the game's help under "What's new?".  Here are just some:

  43.       - Now 32-bits, runs 2-3 times faster, supports long filenames.
  44.       - Jigsaws can be saved as standalone "Gifts" and given to friends.
  45.       - Jigsaws now compressed, leading to much smaller files.
  46.       - Auto-Save feature can save jigsaws every so many minutes.
  47.       - Jigsaws now always saved in TrueColor for best reproduction.
  48.       - Jigsaw descriptions and information can now be edited.
  49.       - Global size and difficulty settings support different desktops.
  50.       - Upper limit of 4,000 pieces can be increased to 64K.
  51.       - Demo button plays all jigsaws in a folder automatically.

  54.     V3.1 additions:

  56.       - Fixed auto-save bug attempting to save to read-only medium.  If the
  57.         game was started by double clicking a jigsaw icon on a CD, the
  58.         auto-save feature would mistakenly try to save the jigsaw periodically
  59.         back to the CD, causing a repeating error message on every attempt.
  60.       - Fixed "Out of Resources" handling when making jigsaw too large.  If a
  61.         jigsaw is created too large, or the piece size is made too large, the
  62.         game will reach a limit on graphics resources.  The error message for
  63.         this situation has been made more informative.  Reducing the number of
  64.         Windows desktop colors from 32-bits to 24-bits or 16-bits will help
  65.         greatly if you reach this limit on your graphics card.
  66.       - Enhanced the "Fetch Neighbor" feature to find any matching neighbor if
  67.         the nearest neighbor has already been connected.  Before, you needed to
  68.         click on the region of a piece nearest the neighbor you wished to fetch.
  69.         If there wasn't one, or if it was already connected, nothing would
  70.         happen.  Now the next nearest neighbor will be found, going in a
  71.         clockwise direction.  This should prove more intuitive.

  73.     V3.2 additions:

  75.       - Fixed self running "Gift" jigsaws to run from within WinZip(R).
  76.         Previously the gift jigsaw would need to be extracted from a zip
  77.         file before it could be run.

  79.       - Fixed Windows 2000 bug.  Direct Edition would crash if installed
  80.         under a Windows 2000 desktop running in 15-bit or 16-bit color mode.
  81.         This was actually an incompatibility in the jigsaw installer program,
  82.         INSTJIG, not the game itself and so consequently this bug only affected
  83.         the Direct Edition, not the CD-Gold Edition which does not use INSTJIG.

  86.     What makes Jigsaws Galore the best?

  89. 1.  Powerful!  Play and create jigsaws from 4 to 4,000 pieces.

  91. 2.  Easy!  Even a complete novice can start solving jigsaws immediately.
  92.     The jigsaw preview screen makes finding your favorite jigsaw a snap
  93.     and even lets you change the number and size of pieces in the jigsaw.

  95. 3.  Full-featured!  Automatically arrange pieces around the outside of the
  96.     board to leave room to solve the puzzle.  Other programs make you scroll
  97.     the screen to find a piece.  You can never lose a piece "off screen" with
  98.     this program!  We take away the drudgery by sorting pieces by shape or
  99.     color, as you wish.  Change the size of pieces on the fly.  Now you can
  100.     fit all of the pieces on the board all of the time.  And it's so easy to
  101.     create new jigsaws!  You can even create self-contained "gift" jigsaws
  102.     to email to your friends.  Of course there's flying hints, context
  103.     sensitive help, toolbars, status bar, sound and music, as you'd expect.

  105. 4.  Fun!  The jigsaws look (and sound) great.  Just like real ones.  Sneaky
  106.     cheat modes let you flash the piece you're looking for, or fetch it, or
  107.     turn pieces the right way up.  You can even watch the jigsaw solve itself.
