PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM:
To convert a resistor value into the colour bands used or to convert the colour bands into the value they represent (and to advertise my other program 'RVal'! Please see the help file supplied or double-click the RVal.lnk internet shortcut included).
DISTRIBUTION:
If you wish to pass this program on, please make sure it is complete. The minimum you should pass on is the following:

Other files required to run the program (but which may already be present on the target machine) are:
VBrun300.dll
cmdialog.vbx
Alternatively, the preferred way to distribute RColours is by passing on the ZIP file 'rcol100.zip'.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU CLAIM A FEE BEYOND ANY EXPENSES YOU HAVE INCURRED (e.g. The cost of a disc, postage, etc.). Under all circumstances the copyright remains mine.
INSTALLATION:
Simply extract all the files from 'rcol100.zip' into a directory of your choice. You will need a copy of VBrun300.dll either in your 'Windows/system' directory or in the RColours program directory. The former location is better as other Visual Basic V3.0 programs can then share the single copy. The same applies to cmdialog.vbx, although included in the zip file this can be moved to your 'Windows/system' directory if preferred; just check that you are not replacing a more recent version!
UN-INSTALL:
RColours makes no changes to your system files. To remove RColours all that needs to be done is to delete the program directory and all its contents. Should you have chosen to keep VBrun300.dll and cmdialog.vbx in your 'Windows/system' directory you may choose to delete these as well, BUT ONLY IF YOU ARE SURE THEY ARE NOT USED BY ANYTHING ELSE.
LICENCE:
RColours is Freeware. You are granted a licence to use RColours, free of charge, for an indefinite period. You may make as many copies of the program as you wish, and you are encouraged to pass on the program subject to the requirements detailed above.
WARRANTY/DISCLAIMER:
I hearby warrant RColours fit for the purpose described in this file and other documentation supplied with it and that it will operate in accordance with the instructions given, subject to the known problems and limitations described in this file.
Should any fault be found with RColours, I will undertake to supply updated versions to those reporting the fault only if the cure for the fault lies within my power, e.g. I accept no obligation to cure a fault If the fault is the result of the particular compiler or other development component I have used.
Under no circumstances I can accept liability for any unintended effects of using RColours.
The writing of this program has been a personal activity and my employer accepts no liability or reward in connection with this program.
KNOWN PROBLEMS & LIMITATIONS:
RColours is a 16bit application written for Windows 3.x and it has been shown to run under Windows 95/98/Me and NT/2000. I am not aware of any problems or limitations. If any of you discover any problems or limitations or just have suggestions for improvements please let me know and I will do my best to cure or incorporate them as appropriate.
