  15.      REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

  19.           Before reading all details, note that a single-user registration
  20.           costs only $10 and includes includes 2 years of free updates,
  21.           exclusive of shipping and handling.  I believe this is an
  22.           exceptional bargain, but it only works because of your honesty.

  24.      Definition of Shareware. . .
  25.  
  26.           Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software before
  27.      buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue using it, you
  28.      are expected to register. Individual programs differ on details -- some
  29.      request registration while others require it, some specify a maximum
  30.      trial period. With registration, you get anything from the simple right
  31.      to continue using the software to an updated program with printed
  32.      manual.

  34.           Copyright laws apply to both Shareware and commercial software,
  35.      and the copyright holder retains all rights, with a few specific
  36.      exceptions as stated below. Shareware authors are accomplished
  37.      programmers, just like commercial authors, and the programs are of
  38.      comparable quality. (In both cases, there are good programs and bad
  39.      ones!) The main difference is in the method of distribution. The author
  40.      specifically grants the right to copy and distribute the software,
  41.      either to all and sundry or to a specific group. For example, some
  42.      authors require written permission before a commercial disk vendor may
  43.      copy their Shareware.

  45.           Shareware is a distribution method, not a type of software. You
  46.      should find software that suits your needs and pocketbook, whether it's
  47.      commercial or Shareware. The Shareware system makes fitting your needs
  48.      easier, because you can try before you buy. And because the overhead is
  49.      low, prices are low also. Shareware has the ultimate money-back
  50.      guarantee -- if you don't use the product, you don't pay for it.

  54.           Users of FFG must accept this disclaimer of warranty: FFG is
  55.      supplied as-is.  The author disclaims all warranties, expressed or
  56.      implied, including, without limitation, the warranties of
  57.      merchantability and of fitness for any purpose. The author assumes no
  58.      liability for damages, direct or consequential, which may result from
  59.      the use of FFG.

  62.           FFG is a copyrighted Shareware program by Thomas G. Vavoso,
  63.      President, EnGamma.  The evaluation version of FFG is offered at no
  64.      charge to any potential user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it
  65.      with your friends and associates, but please do not give it away
  66.      altered or as part of another system.  The essence of "user-supported"
  67.      software is to provide personal computer users with quality software
  68.      without high prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to
  69.      continue to develop new products.

  71.           If you find this program useful and find that you are using FFG
  72.      after a 60-day trial period, you must make a registration payment of
  73.      $10. Checks may be made payable to "Thomas G. Vavoso".  You will be
  74.      sent registered copy of the latest version of FFG.  You are entitled to
  75.      have as many copies of it as you wish (for example, one on each
  76.      computer you use at home and work, plus one for your briefcase for
  77.      troubleshooting someone else's system), with the understanding that
  78.      these are for YOUR personal use and demonstration to others.  Please
  79.      recognize that this is a CONSIDERABLY relaxed condition on copying and
  80.      usage than some authors specify.  It is done for YOUR convenience.

  82.           Registration also entitles you to an automatic license extention
  83.      to all subsequent releases of the DOS command line version of FFG
  84.      during the two-years immediately following your registration.  That's
  85.      right--the $10 fee includes a two-year "maintenance" plan that entitles
  86.      you to the latest release of the product opon request.  The only cost
  87.      you incur for updates within the two year period is for any
  88.      shipping/handling distribution costs, which should be minimal if done
  89.      electronically.  Registration also entitles you to user support by
  90.      mail.

  92.           Prospective commercial users of FFG may contact the author to
  93.      arrange for site and/or network licenses.

  95.           Distributors and BBS sysops recognized by the Association of
  96.      Shareware Professionals (ASP) as adhering to its guidelines for
  97.      shareware distributors may begin offering FFG in their catalogs/BBS
  98.      services immediately.  Other distributors whose only remuneration is a
  99.      nominal fee for the disk itself, and whose literature makes it clear to
  100.      their buyers that the program material must be separately purchased
  101.      from the author, may also offer FFG immediately, but should inform me
  102.      so that I can provide them periodic updates.  Distributors who wish to
  103.      sell FFG packaged as or in a retail product must contact me, and are
  104.      not authorized to distribute this version of FFG.
