- Watchdog Wkeylock for Windows 3.0 & 3.1
-
-
- This program works under Windows 3.0 and 3.1 along with Watchdog DOS
- Keylock to provide seamless protection by locking the keyboard and
- blanking the screen. Wkeylock can be manually locked or will lock
- automatically when the preset timeout has been reached when the
- computer is unattended.
-
-
- LOCKING THE KEYBOARD MANUALLY:
-
- When you run Windows, the Watchdog Keylock icon will appear at the
- bottom of your screen. To manually invoke Keylock, either:
-
- 1. Use Control-Alt-L just as you would with DOS Keylock.
-
- or,
-
- 2. Click the mouse once on the Watchdog Keylock icon. The System
- menu for the Keylock Icon will appear. Click the mouse once on
- the "Lock Keyboard!" menu option.
-
- or,
-
- 3. If you make Keylock a normal or maximized window, click the mouse
- once on the System menu. When the System menu appears, click the
- mouse once on the "Lock Keyboard!" menu option.
-
- or,
-
- 4. If you have a two or three button mouse, double click with the
- right mouse button on the Keylock icon or Keylock window.
-
-
-
- LOCKING THE KEYBOARD AUTOMATICALLY:
-
-
- Under Windows 3.x, Wkeylock will automatically be invoked after the
- specified period of inactivity has elapsed. First Watchdog will issue an
- audible warning sound. At this point, the user has a 60 second "grace"
- period before Watchdog invokes Wkeylock. Before the 60 second grace
- period elapses, the user can regain control of the keyboard by
- pressing a key or moving the mouse.
-
-
-
- UNLOCKING THE KEYBOARD
-
- When Wkeylock is invoked, the entire screen is blanked, the keyboard
- is locked and the Watchdog Keylock cursor will jump around the screen.
- To unlock the keyboard:
-
-
- 1. Press the Escape key or push any of the mouse buttons to display
- the Watchdog unlock keyboard dialog box. Enter the same password
- used when logging on to Watchdog, then press the enter key or use
- the mouse to click on the OK button.
-
-
- 2. If you have been running DOS full screen under Windows Enhanced mode,
- then you need to type in the password the same as you would for DOS
- Keylock.
-
- Wkeylock will restore the screen and unlock the keyboard.
