-
- An error occurred while attempting to modify the CONFIG.SYS file. DO NOT
- restart your system until the latest unmodified CONFIG.SYS file version is
- restored.
-
- To help determine what the problem is, you might save the CONFIG.SYS as a
- renamed file and examine its contents for possible errors. If you cannot
- determine the cause of the problem, get help from someone knowledgeable about
- CONFIG.SYS files.
-
- To restore the latest unmodified file, rename it CONFIG.SYS.
-
- The latest file version can be identified by its file-name extension which is a
- 3-digit number. The file with the highest extension number is the latest
- version. For example, if your system contains files CONFIG.001, CONFIG.002,
- and CONFIG.003, the file with extension 003 is the latest version.
