- ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. Help for OS/2 2.1 Device Driver Installation ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
-
- Use the OS/2 Device Driver Installation window to install device drivers that
- come with a Device Support Diskette. A Device Support Diskette contains profile
- control files, which enable a device to communicate with the operating system.
-
- Note: Do not use this window to install the device drivers that are supplied
- on the operating system diskettes (including printer drivers supplied
- on OS/2 Printer Driver Diskettes).
-
- This window shows the source directory, where the Device Support Diskette
- should be inserted. It also shows the destination directory, to which the
- device driver files will be copied.
-
- If these directories are correct, insert the Device Support Diskette in the
- specified drive, and select Install.
-
- If you want to change the source directory or the destination directory, select
- Change to specify another directory.
-
- For a detailed explanation of each field, select from the list below:
-
- o Source Directory
- o Destination Directory
- o Change
- o Install
- o Exit
-
- If you have a Device Support Diskette for a disk drive or SCSI adapter which
- you have received from the manufacturer, Device Driver Installation will
- automatically install the required profile control files.
