-
- The OS/2* clipboard is used to share information between Presentation Manager*
- programs. The Clipboard Viewer shows you the information contained in the OS/2
- clipboard. When the Private clipboard choice is selected for the OS/2
- clipboard, information cut or copied to the OS/2 Clipboard is available only to
- Presentation Manager programs. If you have WIN-OS/2* sessions, those sessions
- have a separate clipboard. You must use the import and export functions to
- exchange information between these two clipboards.
-
- The OS/2 Clipboard also can be defined as Public. The Public clipboard choice
- is available so that, if you have WIN-OS/2 sessions on your system besides OS/2
- sessions, you can share information between the OS/2 clipboard and the WIN-OS/2
- clipboard. The Public clipboard choice must be selected in both clipboards.
-
- If you do not want to share the clipboard information between sessions, make
- sure Public clipboard is not selected in any session. When Public clipboard is
- not selected, information contained in each clipboard remains private (limited)
- to Presentation Manager programs or WIN-OS/2 sessions.
