-
- This is the TUNEREAD.ME file for the extended memory version of L-Edit 3.00.
-
- The tune.exe can be found in your L-Edit directory if you install the
- extended memory version of L-Edit. This file is only needed if the protected
- mode kernel bound with L-Edit does not contain your machine type in its
- internal database. If you get a message to this effect when you run L-Edit
- (by typing "ledit <return>" at the DOS command line, as usual), type the
- command
- tune -k ledit.exe
-
- from your L-Edit directory.
-
- This will run a number of tests on your machine and set up the machine BIOS
- information in L-Edit's kernel. The nature of these tests is such that the
- machine might crash in the course of these tests. In this event, just restart
- the tuning process as above, and the program will take up from where it left
- off.
-
- Since tune may crash the machine, it is advisable to save all critical RAM-
- resident information before running tune.
