  1. When you create an entity using a reference entity, CADKEY
  2. makes the new entity the same length as the reference 
  3. entity. In this case, the new line must be trimmed to
  4. the correct length.

  6. Use the options, EDIT, TRM/EXT, FIRST.

  8. After trimming the line, switch back to the original
  9. construction plane by using the Immediate Mode command
  10. ALT-K and selecting CP = DV which sets the construction
  11. plane (CP) equal to the display view (DV).
