- POLYGON allows you to specify entities using a closed
- broken line segment. The cursor is used to specify the
- vertices of the polygon.
-
- Specify the type of polygon selection by choosing from the
- following options. An asterisk indicates which option is
- active. The option that is active when you choose the
- second corner of the window is the one that is used.
-
- ALL IN - to select the entities lying totally inside the
- window.
-
- PART IN - to select the entities lying at least partly
- inside the window.
-
- ALL OUT - to select the entities lying totally outside the
- window.
-
- PART OUT - to select the entities lying at least partly
- outside the window.
-
- Indicate the vertex of the polygon by moving the cursor
- to the desired position on the screen and pressing
- the cursor button or by pressing the space bar and
- entering the x and y view coordinates. When the cursor
- is moved, a rubberline is connected to this first
- position.
-
- Indicate subsequent vertices of the polygon by moving
- the cursor to the desired position on the screen and
- pressing the cursor button or by pressing the space
- bar and entering the x and y view coordinates.
- Consecutive vertices are connected by solid line
- segments. You can indicate up to twenty vertices.
-
- When you have indicated the last vertex, press <Enter>
- and the polygon is automatically closed by connecting
- the last vertex to the first. If you indicated twenty
- vertices, you do not need to press <Enter>, the polygon
- is automatically closed for you.
-
- The entities are selected according to the indicated
- menu option (i.e., ALL IN, PART IN, ALL OUT, or
- PART OUT).
