- PLOT allows you to send displayed entities directly to an
- assigned plotter device for plotting. The default values
- for this option (e.g., plotter type, baud rate, etc.) are
- assigned in the configuration program.
-
- Send the entities displayed on the screen by choosing from
- the following options:
-
- AUTO - to send the entities displayed on the screen
- directly to an assigned plotter device for plotting using
- automatic scaling factors and x, y offsets.
- Indicate whether or not to view and change the current
- scale factor and x, y offset values. If you choose NO,
- the default values are used. If you choose YES, enter a
- scale factor, rotation angle and X, Y offset values. The
- default values for each are displayed in parentheses.
-
- The scale factor of the part currently displayed is
- calculated from the plot paper size specified in the
- configuration program and the current part scale (or
- number of units in the Drawing Window). The rotation
- angle is automatically set at 0. The x and y offset values
- are assigned in the configuration program. The 0, 0 offset
- values automatically center the plot on the plotting
- paper.
-
-
- KEY IN - to enter a plotting scale value, rotation
- angle,(in degrees), and x, and y offset values for placing
- the part on the paper. The default scale factor is
- calculated from the plot paper size specified in the
- configuration program and the current part scale (or
- number of units in the Drawing Window).
-
-
- Indicate the method of plotting by choosing from the
- following options:
-
- PEN # - to plot according to the pen number attribute
- (with a maximum of 8) assigned to each entity during part
- creation. This option is useful if you are working on a
- monochrome display, but you can plot on a plotter offering
- different pen colors.
-
- COLOR - to plot according to the color assigned to each
- entity during part creation. Because the color attribute
- in the system ranges from 1 to 15, it is possible to
- control up to 15 pens on the plotter. For further
- flexibility, you can use a configuration program option
- to map graphics colors to plotter pen numbers in other
- than a 1 to 1 scheme. This is particularly useful when
- the plotting device has fewer pens in its carriage than
- the number of graphics colors used in the part. A scheme
- may also be incorporated where more than one graphic color
- is assigned to the same plotter pen number.
-
-
- Using the Selection Menu, indicate the entities you want
- to plot.
-
- Press <Enter> to begin plotting.
-
- To terminate plotting at any time, press the <Esc> key.
- Actual plotting ends as soon as the plotter's buffer is
- empty, which varies from plotter to plotter.
-
- When the plotting is done, press the <Esc> key.
