  1. DIM PLC (Dimension placement) allows you to specify
  2. placement position of text in dimensions. There are a 
  3. total of nine possible alignment points for the text in
  4. dimensions.

  6. Set the placement axis by choosing from the following
  7. options:
  8.  
  9. HORIZTL - to position the text horizontally based on the
  10. length of the longest line in notes and text and the
  11. relative width of the dimension with its tolerance. Choose
  12. an alignment position for text placement: LEFT, CENTER,
  13. and RIGHT. Each placement represents where the text or
  14. dimension begins with respect to the position on the 
  15. screen indicated by the cursor.

  17. VERTICL - to position the text vertically based on the
  18. height of the entire dimension, or relative to the first
  19. line of text in notes and labels. Choose an alignment
  20. position for the vertical placement of text: BOTTOM,
  21. CENTER, or TOP. Each placement represents where the text
  22. or dimension is based from, with respect to the position
  23. on the screen indicated by the cursor.

  25. AUTO CEN - to position the text of linear, radius,
  26. diameter, and angular dimensions in the center of the two
  27. witness lines. Indicate if you want the dimension text
  28. automatically centered between the witness lines. Choose
  29. NO if you want to manually indicate text positions. Choose
  30. YES if you want to be automatically center about the
  31. midpoint of the dimension's leader arc.
