  1. WITNESS allows you to specify which of the two witness
  2. lines is displayed for newly-created dimensions.

  4. Use WITNESS from anywhere in the program by cursor
  5. selecting WIT: from the Status Window, or by using the
  6. Immediate Mode command, (Ctrl)-(B). 
  7.  
  8. In linear dimensioning, CADKEY defines the first witness
  9. line from the first reference point you select. 
  10.  
  11. In angular dimensioning, CADKEY defines the first witness
  12. line from the first line you or endpoint you select.
  13.  
  14. Indicate the method of displaying witness lines by 
  15. choosing from the following options:
  16.  
  17. BOTH   - to display both witness lines.
  18.  
  19. FIRST  - to display only the witness line for the first
  20.          dimension point.
  21.  
  22. SECOND - to display only the witness line for the second
  23.          dimension point.
  24.  
  25. NONE   - to display no witness lines.
