  1. EXIT lets you to exit Drawing Layout Mode(DLM) and return
  2. to Model Mode(MM).

  4. CADKEY asks whether you want to exit DLM; choose YES to
  5. return to MM, or choose NO to remain in DLM. 
  6.  
  7. If you return to MM, you see your part file in View 1 and
  8. autoscaled to fit the screen.
  9.  
  10. If you then choose to exit CADKEY from MM, press (Esc) and
  11. then (Alt)-(E). When you see the prompt, choose YES to
  12. save the current part file before you exit. This is very 
  13. important. If you do not save the part file, CADKEY will 
  14. not save the drawing layouts.

  16. If you chose not to return to DLM but want to exit CADKEY
  17. directly from DLM, follow these steps:

  19. From anywhere in the menu structure in DLM, press (Esc) to
  20. return to the Main Menu.
  21.  
  22. Press (Alt)-(E) to exit CADKEY. When you see the prompt,
  23. choose YES to save the current part file before you exit.
  24. This is very important. If you do not save the part file,
  25. CADKEY will not save the drawing layouts.

  27. Keep in mind that when you save a part file, CADKEY 
  28. remembers which system mode you were in when you saved it.
  29. The next time you reenter CADKEY and load the part that
  30. you saved, CADKEY returns you to the mode you were in when
  31. you saved the part and displays the part as it looked when
  32. you saved it. It's almost like CADKEY places a bookmark in
  33. the file and opens it to exactly the same spot the next
  34. time you open the file.
