  1. The DETAIL (Drafting) allows you to add notes, labels,
  2. dimensions, and crosshatching to a geometric drawing. You
  3. have full control over setting or changing parameters and 
  4. values for new or existing dimensions. All dimension 
  5. entities you create are primarily related to display and 
  6. only appear in their view of creation.
  7.  
  8. Add to your drawing by choosing from the following options:
  9.  
  10. DIMENSN - to:
  11.  
  12. * dimension angles and the diameter or radius of an arc or
  13.   circle.
  14.  
  15. * assign horizontal, vertical, or parallel dimensions.
  16.  
  17. * create and edit ordinate dimensions.
  18.  
  19. NOTE - to create a note from an ASCII file on disk or
  20. keyboard entry, and output to a disk-based ASCII text file.
  21.  
  22. LABEL - to create a label (with leaders and arrows) for a
  23. part or parts of your drawing.
  24.  
  25. ARR/WIT (arrows or witness lines) - to create arrows and
  26. witness lines.
  27.  
  28. X-HATCH (crosshatching) - to fill a specified, closed-in
  29. area with selected line patterns.
  30.  
  31. LAYOUT - CADKEY's Drawing Layout Mode is the CADKEY system
  32. mode that you enter when you finish creating a part in
  33. Model Mode and want to detail and position different
  34. views, or drawing instances, of the part in a two-
  35. dimensional layout format.

  37. CHANGE - to change:
  38.  
  39. * dimension arrows.
  40.  
  41. * dimension representations.
  42.  
  43. * dimension value by a scale factor.
  44.  
  45. * displayed dimension values, dimension text, and 
  46.   tolerance value and/or type.
  47.  
  48. * text attributes and text position. 
  49.  
  50. * dimension witness line.
  51.  
  52. UPDATE- to change certain attributes of dimension entities
  53. to the new user-set values. This option affects height,
  54. font, slant, and fill of note and label.
  55.  
  56. For dimension entities the following attributes are
  57. affected: height, font, value representation, dimension
  58. scale, trailing and leading zeros, tolerance mode and
  59. values.
  60.  
  61. SET - to:
  62.  
  63. * specify the orientation and style of dimension arrows.
  64.  
  65. * control whether the program automatically updates the
  66.   displayed values of dimensions selected for some command
  67.   sequences.
  68.  
  69. * set the existing linear, radial, diametrical, and 
  70.   ordinate dimension representations.
  71.  
  72. * control the display of leading and/or trailing zeros, 
  73.   to position parallel dimension text for ANSI or ISO, and
  74.   to toggle between automatic and manual creation of 
  75.   dimension text; and control the text attributes for 
  76.   notes.
  77.  
  78. * specify the automatic tolerancing of a dimension; and
  79.   specify scaling units other than those used in the
  80.   construction of the part itself.

  82. * suppress the NO/YES verification menu displayed after 
  83.   each dimension or label is placed.
  84.  
  85. * control the display of witness lines and leader lines 
  86.   for newly-created dimensions.
