  1. FIRST allows you to cut or extend the first entity you
  2. select, excluding circles, based on an intersection or
  3. projected intersection with another entity.

  5. Indicate the entity you want to trim or extend by 
  6. selecting it on the portion you want to remain after the 
  7. process is done.

  9. Select the intersecting entity, near the intersection with
  10. the trim entity.

  12. If the trimming or extending is not correct, press 
  13. (Alt)-(I), or click on Undo in the break area to erase 
  14. the trim or extension.
