  1. REVOLUT allows you to create a polygon mesh that
  2. approximates the surface that is formed by rotating a
  3. generator curve about an axis by a specified angular
  4. distance.
  5.  
  6. Select the line, arc, conic, or spline to be used as the
  7. generator curve.
  8.  
  9. Enter the number of segments that the generator curve is 
  10. to be broken into.
  11.  
  12. Define a rotation axis for the mesh of revolution by
  13. choosing from the following options:

  16. 2 PTS - to define the cylinder axis by selecting a start 
  17. and endpoint. The axis vector is directed from the start
  18. point to the endpoint.

  20. LINE - to define the cylinder axis by selecting a line
  21. entity. The axis vector is directed from the end of the 
  22. line closest to the selection point, to the opposite end 
  23. of the line.

  25. END ENT - to define the cylinder axis by selecting a line,
  26. arc, conic, polyline, or spline.

  28. KEYIN - to define the cylinder axis by entering the axis
  29. vector coordinates and then selecting a point on the axis.

  31. Using a Position Menu option, position a point on the 
  32. axis. The selected point and vector components determine 
  33. the line around which the generator curve is rotated.

  35. Enter the total angular distance (in degrees) that the
  36. generator is to be rotated about the axis.

  38. Enter the number of segments to be generated in the 
  39. rotation direction.

  41. If the vector that defines the axis is normal to the 
  42. display screen (i.e., it is pointed toward you), the 
  43. generator curve is rotated in a counter-clockwise 
  44. direction.

  46. A temporary mesh is displayed, along with a NO/YES menu. 
  47. If the curves are connected correctly, choose YES. If the
  48. curves are not connected correctly, choose NO and select
  49. another generator curve.

  51. Indicate whether to group the entities. Choose NO to
  52. continue without grouping. Choose YES to create a group,
  53. and enter a group name.
