- TAB CYL allows you to create a line mesh that approximates
- the surface defined by sweeping a generator curve along an
- axis vector (the director) of a specified length.

- Select the line, arc, conic, or spline to be used as the
- generator curve.

- Enter the number of segments that the generator curve is
- to be broken into.

- Define the cylinder axis by selecting one of the following
- options:
-
- 2 PTS - to define the cylinder axis by selecting a start
- point and an endpoint. An axis vector is directed from the
- start point to the endpoint.

- Using a Position Menu option, indicate a start point and
- an endpoint to define the axis vector.

- LINE - to define the cylinder axis by selecting a line
- entity. The axis vector is directed from the end of the
- line closest to the selection point, to the opposite end
- of the line.
- Select a line entity to define the axis vector.

- END ENT - to define the cylinder axis by selecting a line,
- arc, conic, polyline, or spline. The axis is defined as
- the outward-pointing tangent vector at the end of the
- entity, closest to the cursor selection position.
- Select a line, arc, conic, polyline, or spline.

- KEYIN - to define the cylinder axis by entering the axis
- vector coordinates.
- Define the direction of the vector by entering the x, y, z
- vector components, either in world or construction
- coordinates.

- Enter the length of the cylinder. If a negative length is
- entered, the direction of the axis vector is reversed.

- Enter the number of segments that are to be generated in
- the axis direction.

- A temporary mesh is displayed, along with a NO/YES menu.
- If the curves are connected correctly, choose YES. If the
- curves are not connected correctly, choose NO and select
- another generator curve.

- Indicate whether or not to group the entities. Choose NO
- to continue without grouping. Choose YES to create a
- group, and enter a group name.

- The mesh is created.
