  1. PRP TAN allows you to create a line perpendicular to the
  2. first selected entity, and tangent to the second selected
  3. entity. One entity can be a point; however, selecting two
  4. points for this option causes an error message to be
  5. displayed.

  7. Select the first entity, near the point of 
  8. perpendicularity.
  9.  
  10. Select the second entity, near the point of tangency.
  11.  
  12. An error message is displayed if you are constructing in 
  13. 3-D and the entities you select are not coplanar. You are
  14. prompted to press <Enter> and to select the first entity.

  16. If the points of perpendicularity and tangency are
  17. coincident and the L-LIMIT switch is set to FUNCTN, an 
  18. error message is displayed indicating that the current 
  19. settings and selections result in a zero-length line. 
  20. If this message is displayed, change the line limits and
  21. press <Enter>, or reselect the desired entities.

  23. With the L-LIMIT switch set to VIEWPORT, the line passes
  24. through the points of perpendicularity and tangency, and
  25. extends to the screen limits.
