- The Main Menu is the first menu displayed in the Menu
- Options Window, and is the highest-level menu from which
- all other menus are activated.

- CREATE allows you to create geometric entities in a
- variety of ways.
-
- EDIT allows you to edit the previously created entities.
-
- DETAIL allows you to enhance your entity or layout. For
- example, you can dimension an entity, add text to the
- layout, and then reposition the text.
-
- X-FORM allows you to transform or extend one entity to
- another, rotate, scale, mirror, or project an entity.
-
- FILES allows you to save a part file, make a part or
- pattern file, or access CADL files or macros.
-
- DISPLAY allows you to perform a redraw, pan or zoom,
- manipulate the axes or viewports, alter the views, change
- levels, activate a grid or snap, and turn on cursor
- tracking.

- CONTROL allows you to verify construction information
- about a part, work with construction views, change your
- coordinate system, print or plot, and modify such
- attributes as color, line type, line width, and pen
- number.

- DELETE allows you to delete entities by selecting from the
- Selection Menu option or by deleting a certain level.

- APPLIC lets you directly access third-party applications
- for use with CADKEY. You can access applications created
- by CADKEY such as CADKEY SOLIDS or applications created
- by third-party developers. When you choose APPLIC, a list
- box appears listing every third-party application you have
- installed. If you have no third-party applications
- installed, an error message appears. Press <Enter> to
- clear the error message; return to the Main Menu and make
- another choice.

- ALT-E allows you to exit the program.

- THE POSITION MENU AND SELECTION MENU

- These menus appear frequently in CADKEY:

- The Selection Menu appears when multiple entities can be
- selected:

- SINGLE - to select an entity using the cursor.
-
- CHAIN - to select a series of connected lines, splines,
- and/or arcs by defining the start and end entities in the
- chain.
-
- WINDOW - to select the entities using a cursor-indicated
- window.
-
- POLYGON - to select the entities using a cursor-indicated
- polygon.
-
- GROUP - to select the entities in a group.
-
- PLANE - to select entities lying on a specified plane.
-
- ALL DSP - to select all entities displayed in a viewport,
- optionally specifying types to include or exclude.

- For many functions, you must indicate a position in 3-D
- space by choosing from the following Position Menu
- options:

- CURSOR - to locate a position by using the cursor and the
- current working depth.
-
- POINT - to locate a position with the x, y, z coordinates
- of an existing point entity.

- ENDENT - to locate a position with the x, y, z coordinates
- of an indicated endpoint.

- CENTER - to locate a position at the midpoint of a line
- entity or the center of an arc entity.

- INTRSC - to locate a position at the intersection of two
- entities.

- ALONGL - to locate a position along a line entity at a
- specified distance from the endpoint.

- POLAR - to locate a position at a specified distance and
- angle from another indicated position (reference point).

- DELTA - to locate a position at a specified distance
- (delta position) from another position.

- KEY-IN - to locate a position at specified Cartesian
- coordinates.
