  1. The Main Menu is the first menu displayed in the Menu
  2. Options Window, and is the highest-level menu from which 
  3. all other menus are activated.
  4.  
  5. CREATE allows you to create geometric entities in a 
  6. variety of ways.
  7.  
  8. EDIT allows you to edit the previously created entities.
  9.  
  10. DETAIL allows you to enhance your entity or layout. For
  11. example, you can dimension an entity, add text to the
  12. layout, and then reposition the text.
  13.  
  14. X-FORM allows you to transform or extend one entity to
  15. another, rotate, scale, mirror, or project an entity.
  16.  
  17. FILES allows you to save a part file, make a part or 
  18. pattern file, or access CADL files or macros.
  19.  
  20. DISPLAY allows you to perform a redraw, pan or zoom,
  21. manipulate the axes or viewports, alter the views, change
  22. levels, activate a grid or snap, and turn on cursor
  23. tracking.

  25. CONTROL allows you to verify construction information 
  26. about a part, work with construction views, change your 
  27. coordinate system, print or plot, and modify such 
  28. attributes as color, line type, line width, and pen 
  29. number.

  31. DELETE allows you to delete entities by selecting from the
  32. Selection Menu option or by deleting a certain level.
  33.  
  34. APPLIC lets you directly access third-party applications 
  35. for use with CADKEY. You can access applications created 
  36. by CADKEY such as CADKEY SOLIDS or applications created
  37. by third-party developers. When you choose APPLIC, a list 
  38. box appears listing every third-party application you have
  39. installed. If you have no third-party applications 
  40. installed, an error message appears. Press <Enter> to 
  41. clear the error message; return to the Main Menu and make
  42. another choice.

  52. THE POSITION MENU AND SELECTION MENU

  54. These menus appear frequently in CADKEY:

  56. The Selection Menu appears when multiple entities can be
  57. selected:

  60. SINGLE - to select an entity using the cursor.
  61.  
  62. CHAIN -  to select a series of connected lines, splines,
  63. and/or arcs by defining the start and end entities in the
  64. chain.
  65.  
  66. WINDOW - to select the entities using a cursor-indicated
  67. window.
  68.  
  69. POLYGON - to select the entities using a cursor-indicated
  70. polygon.

  72. GROUP - to select the entities in a group.
  73.  
  74. PLANE - to select entities lying on a specified plane.

  76. ALL DSP - to select all entities displayed in a viewport,
  77. optionally specifying types to include or exclude.

  80. For many functions, you must indicate a position in 3-D
  81. space by choosing from the following Position Menu 
  82. options:

  85. CURSOR - to locate a position by using the cursor and the
  86. current working depth.
  87.  
  88. POINT - to locate a position with the x, y, z coordinates 
  89. of an existing point entity.
  90.  
  91. ENDENT - to locate a position with the x, y, z coordinates
  92. of an indicated endpoint.

  94. CENTER - to locate a position at the midpoint of a line
  95. entity or the center of an arc entity.

  97. INTRSC - to locate a position at the intersection of two
  98. entities.

  100. ALONGL - to locate a position along a line entity at a 
  101. specified distance from the endpoint.

  103. POLAR - to locate a position at a specified distance and
  104. angle from another indicated position (reference point).

  106. DELTA - to locate a position at a specified distance 
  107. (delta position) from another position.

  109. KEY-IN - to locate a position at specified Cartesian
  110. coordinates.
