- Description:
- This command trims lines to the intersection point of that line with another.
- There are two options: trim by one line and trim by two lines.
- When trimming by one line (default) you are prompted to define a trimming
- line. All lines that cross this line may be trimmed up to the intersection
- point. You are prompted to specify on which side of the trimming line the
- lines are to be saved. Then you are prompted to indicate the line to be
- trimmed. If the lines indicated do not intersect with the trimming line they
- will be extended to the trimming line as a result of this operation.
- When trimming by two lines, you are asked whether you want to keep the
- internal part or external parts. An internal trim will remove the section of
- line between the two trimmer lines, while an external trim will delete the
- whole line except for the section between them. Indicate the two trimming
- lines and confirm your choice. Then indicate the lines to be trimmed. The
- segment of these lines between the two trimming lines will be erased.
- During an external trim, if you indicate a line that lies between the trim
- lines but does not reach them, the line will be extended to the trimmer lines.
- NOTE: This command does not work on arcs.
