- TOUR Menu: SOLID
- =============================================================================
- Interactive manipulation of the display of the surfaces and shading model
- with an option to save the current view as a screen bit-map.
- (Applicable to solid mode only).
-
- 1. (CHAR) file name (3 char.) for picture taking (p-key) <pic>
-
- Description
-
- This command invokes a special display mode where you
- may view your model from any point, walk in and around it, view it
- in perspective, and with shaded surfaces, etc.
-
- The view (by default) fills the whole screen. The pull-down
- and side-bar menus disappear. The screen background is changed to
- blue (default). The screen status, including the RGB background color
- mix, the angle of the site cone and the whether the current display
- is at an automatic or fixed scale, is displayed at the top of the
- screen.
-
-
- The model is displayed in the most recent solid view
- (axonometric view is the default) with colored surfaces.
-
- A menu (which may be removed) appears across the bottom
- of the screen, with the input character required for the option indicated
- in a different color.
-
- A small cube, with the three main axes indicated, appears
- on the top-right of the screen and moves dynamically with every movement
- of the mouse (or direction keys). When you have positioned the cube
- in the orientation in which you wish to view the model press <ENTER>
- and the model will be redrawn to the new orientation.
-
- You may freeze any view as a screen bit-map by pressing the key `p'
- (see command \pic). When doing this you are asked to provide a
- file name for saving the pictures. The default is PIC. While the system
- is saving the picture the cube at the top right corner of the screen
- disappears. The file name is suffixed by number for consecutive savings.
- The picture may be recalled by the `s' option of the \pic command.
-
-
-
- To Manipulate the View
-
- The orientation of the view is controlled by the numeric
- keypad (on the right of your keyboard), by the mouse or digitizer.
- Every time you press one of the direction keys the small cube frame
- in the corner of the screen will rotate by five degrees in the direction
- selected. When the orientation of the cube resembles the orientation
- of the view of the model that you want, press <ENTER> and the model will be
- redrawn to that orientation.
-
- To change background color (depending on your display type):
-
- 8 Adds Red to background
- 9 Adds Green to background
- 0 Adds Blue to background.
