- Creates a rotational solid by rotating a polygon about an axis.
-
- 1. (NUM) rotation angle (1-360 deg.) <360>
- 2. (NUM) number of sectors (3 - 50) <12>
- 3. (IND) polygon to rotate
- 4. (Y/N) confirm choice
- for a closed polygon:
- 5. (POINT) first point of rotation axis
- 6. (POINT) second point of rotation axis
- (<ENTER> for a NEW first point)

- Description:
- This command creates a solid by rotating (and copying) a polygon. The polygon
- may be open or closed and may be created using any of the polygon commands.
- The resulting solid is a complex (type 9) solid.
- You are prompted to define a positive angle in degrees through which the
- polygon is to be rotated. The default is 360. State the number of sectors
- (between 3 and 50 default 12) that the new solid is to possess. Indicate the
- polygon and confirm your choice. For example, if you create a solid with
- a rotational angle of 180 and 12 sectors, each sector will be 15.
- If the polygon is open, the system defines the axis of rotation as the line
- joining the two end points of the polygon. For a closed polygon, the system
- prompts you to define two points on the rotation axis. The axis must be
- external to the polygon in all cases. The system will draw a help line along
- the rotation axis.
- NOTE:The original polygon remains as an independent entity (not part of the
- new solid). It remains selected and may be deleted (using \sdel) or used at
- will.
