- Description
-
- This command allows you to create simple openings in multi-layer wall arcs.
- The openings may have parallel or radial sides (jambs). These openings cut
- the internal layers of the wall with a single straight line without the
- application of special end conditions or opening symbols.
-
- The openings should be created while the walls are two dimensional. If you
- insert them after a 3D projection of the wall has been created, the wall will
- appear in 2D only. In order to see the 3D opening, you will have to delete
- the 3D model of the walls (\mw2d) and then recreate them (\mw3d).
-
- Indicate and confirm the wall in which the opening is to be inserted. Specify
- the opening height and the height of the opening from the base of the wall.
- State whether the opening sides (jambs) are to be parallel to each other (and
- to an imaginary radial line that bisects the width of the opening) or radial
- from the center of the arc.
-
- If the opening is to have parallel sides you are offered three options:
-
- specify a starting point, direction and chord length the opening
- width will be measured along a straight line
-
- specify a center point and half the chord length the opening width
- will be measured along a straight line symmetrically about the
- specified center point
-
- specify a starting point and angle (counterclockwise = positive value
- clockwise = negative value)
-
- If the opening is to be radial, specify the starting and end point of the
- opening.
-
- The system will ask you to place other openings in the same wall until you
- execute a new command.
-
- NOTE 1: Unlike linear multi-layer walls, it is not possible to define an arc
- opening with end condition details.
- NOTE 2: The maximum number of openings allowed in a single wall is 30.
