- Creates a multi-layer wall between two points.
-
- 1. (POINT) first wall point
- 2. * (POINT) next wall point (Alt+1-symmetry, Alt+2-alignment)
-
- Description:
- This command creates a wall between two points. The wall must first be
- selected from the pull-down graphic walls library using the \setmw command. If
- during the current work session you have already selected a wall type, this
- will remain the default wall type whenever you use this command.
- Pick the first point of the wall. From this point the system will "stretch"
- an elastic wall to the current cursor location, while you pick subsequent
- points. You are prompted for additional points until you enter a new command.
- Each additional point creates another wall segment connected to the end of the
- previous one. The wall corners are resolved by the system.
- NOTE: Only if the current point meets the first point, will that corner be
- resolved.
- The line connecting the previous point to the current cursor position is known
- as the "base" line. It represents the first defined surface of the wall unless
- the alignment of the axis has been changed.
- Symmetry
- When working with asymmetrical walls you may find that the wall, as it
- appears, is "inside out," i.e., the external surface is where the internal one
- should be. By pressing the Alt and 1 keys together (Alt+1) you will be able to
- "toggle" the symmetry of the wall about the base line.
- Alignment
- Should you find that the alignment of the wall is unsatisfactory, press the
- Alt and 2 keys together (Alt+2). This "toggles" between three alignment
- options:
- 1. First surface aligned with base line, the default.
- 2. Last surface aligned with base line.
- 3. Center line of wall aligned with base line.
- NOTE:Walls must be created on the horizontal plane only.
