  3. Activates an orthogonal dotted grid.
  4. (A nested command.)
  5.  
  6.  1. (NUM) grid interval (min. value, 0-to switch off)
  7.  
  8. Description:
  9.  
  10. This command activates an orthogonal dotted grid on the display.
  11.  
  12. You are prompted to enter the grid interval.  The minimum value is 0.00001
  13. meters and is displayed in the current units.  The grid is displayed and the
  14. grid increment is set to the specified interval.  The letter `g' is displayed
  15. next to the increment value on the status line to indicate that the grid is
  16. active.

  18. The grid is displayed in orthogonal views only; you cannot see the grid when
  19. in other views.
  20.  
  21. The limit to the density of the grid, relative to the current scale, is 1:250.
  22. Thus, for a scale of 1:1000, the densest grid that can be displayed is 4
  23. units.  Requesting a grid denser than this limit will cause an asterisk to
  24. appear by the increment display on the second screen line (nn.nnnI*).  The
  25. requested grid will be displayed only after the scale is reduced sufficiently.

  27. The grid may be deactivated by entering zero or using the \ngrid command.

  30.          Result: A dotted grid of 1 unit is displayed.
