- Description
- This command sets the system to digitizing mode. It also enables re-definition
- of the digitizing zone on the tablet during the work session.
-
- The main function of this command is to calibrate the digitizer according to
- the drawing that is to be digitized. You may assign the whole of the tablet
- area to digitizing and use the same area for tablet menu selection. This is
- done by switching between the digitizing mode and the tablet menu mode by
- pressing <Alt> + F7 or by executing the command \onofd.
-
- When tablet menu zones are defined, the digitizing zone is set to the full
- extent of the tablet, until it is redefined by this command. The new
- definition is saved, until a further change is made.
-
- In order to use the digitizing zone you are prompted for various coordinate
- parameters from the tablet.
-
- On the tablet, pick a point that will serve as the origin of the drawing, then
- enter the horizontal and vertical coordinates which that point represents in
- the three dimensional environment of the system. State which two axes will be
- represented by the horizontal and vertical directions of the digitizer.
-
- Finally, enter the scale of the drawing.
- Example: \digis y
- (pick 2 points on the tablet, defining digitizing zone) (pick 1 point
- on the tablet, defining the origin of the drawing)
- 0 0 x y 100
- Result:The digitizing zone for an XY drawing is set; the origin (0,0) of the
- drawing is defined on the digitizer, and the scale of the drawing is 1:100.
