- Description:
- This command copies all the entities in the selection group a specified number
- of times. The relation between the original and the first copy as well as
- between every consecutive pair of copies is defined by identifying a specified
- plane relative to the selection group and another specified plane in space.
- This command is especially useful for the creation of a staircase or other
- cases where the desired relation between copies of a set is a combination of
- translation and rotation.
-
- The relative displacement and rotation are given between two indicated sets of
- three points ("to" and "from" sets), each identifying a plane in space that
- may have any inclination or location relative to the selection group. The
- defined displacement and rotation become the rule governing the relation
- between each consecutive copy. The selection group keeps its internal
- organization and its relation to the first defined plane ("from" set). The
- following rules apply in defining the relation between the copies in the
- series:
- 1. The plane defined by points 1-2-3 lies on the plane defined by points 4-5-6
- 2. The first point of the copy coincides with the first point of the original
- "to-set".
- 3. The virtual line between the first and second points lies on the virtual
- line between the fourth and fifth points.
- After you have defined the relationship, indicate the number of desired copies.
- You may define additional "to-set"s until you enter a new command.
