- Active Partition not a DOS Partition Help 1 of 2
- By default, the installation program copies server
- boot files to the active partition on the first

- Normally, this error prevents you from proceeding.
- However, some boot manager utilities allow you to
- boot your machine from one partition, and then
- select another partition to be used for that
- session. In this case, the DOS partition would not
- be marked as active.

- Use your existing STARTUP.NCF? Help 1 of 1
- When SERVER.EXE loads as part of installation,
- your STARTUP.NCF file won't be executed. This
- avoids any incompatibilities between your
- previous STARTUP.NCF file version of the
- NetWare operating system being installed.
- The existing STARTUP.NCF file will be invoked

- drivers in your "old" STARTUP.NCF file to be

- Not Enough Memory Help 1 of 1
- After loading the installation program there is not

- enough memory to load this program, and to have

- You must exit this program and remove any unnecessary

- Filename Format Help 1 of 1
- Under most circumstances you will want to choose DOS filename
- format. This will give you compatibility with DOS, as well as with
- future releases of NetWare.
- You should not choose NetWare format filenames unless you have a
- specific need for non-DOS compatible filenames.
- If you are upgrading an existing server, and there are files on your
- server which contain any of the characters that NetWare allows as
- lower case, and if you choose DOS filename format, VREPAIR will change
- the lower case characters to upper case when the volume is mounted.
- The DOS filename format is used by the NetWare DOS requester (VLM) no
- matter what you choose here. The NetWare shells (e.g. NETX) will work
- with either DOS format or NetWare format filenames.
