  2. There is a know problem with setup.exe when it is run on a PC/XT or 
  3. equivalent machine.  As a result installation via setup does not work
  4. correctly on these machines.  There are two solutions to the problem:

  7.   1) Run setup as you usually would.  When setup is finished you will
  8.      have 4 files in the demo2 directories - "one.exe", "two.exe",
  9.      "threea.exe" and "threeb.exe".  These files are self-extracting "zip"
  10.      acrhives and can be uncompressed by simply changing to the directory 
  11.      containing the file and typing its name, e.g. "one".  Once the files 
  12.      have been extracted the archive may be removed, e.g. "del one.exe".

  14. or alternately:
  15.  
  16.   2) Copy the file "setupxt.bat" to your hard drive.  This batch file will
  17.      install the Demo II program files in the directory "c:\bin" and will
  18.      install the Demo II tips and techniques demo in "c:\bin\demotips".  
  19.      If you wish to install elsewhere you are free to modify the "STRING"
  20.      variables near the top of the file, e.g. to install in e:\demo2 and
  21.      e:\demo2\tips set the variables as follows:

  23.         set STRING1=E:
  24.         set STRING2=DEMO2
  25.         set STRING3=TIPS
  26.  
  27.      The directories you specify must already exist or the batch file will
  28.      not install Demo II correctly.

  30. In either case you will want to include    the directory where the Demo II
  31. program files in your PATH so that they will be easily accessable no matter 
  32. where you chose to do your work.
