  40.     Proper maintenance of vehicles is the key to their continuous, uninterrupted operation.  This application assists in tracking the maintenance history of a vehicle, and indicates what maintenance items need attention.
  41.     Each vehicle shown in the upper portion of the form can have any number of maintenance items, which are displayed in the table on the bottom of the form.
  42.     The status of each maintenance item can be one of four possible values:  empty (blank), UPCOMING, DUE, or OVERDUE.  Using the various fields for scheduling and recording maintenance, the value is displayed using the Value Tree in the "Due" column.  If either the mileage or date calculations are within 20% of their target, that record is flagged as UPCOMING.  When the target is met, the flag changes to DUE, and becomes OVERDUE when the item exceeds the target by 20% or more.
