  7. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  9. The Borland Visual Solutions Pack has the following system requirements:
  10.  
  11.     4 MG of extended memory
  12.     Approximately 8.5 MB of hard disk space is required.
  13.     Windows 3.1
  14.     Borland C++ 4.0, Microsoft Visual Basic, or Microsoft Visual C++

  17. WINDOWS HOSTED INSTALLATION
  18. ===========================
  19. Installing from floppy disks.
  20.  
  21. 1. Place the Borland Visual Solutions Pack Install disk in drive
  22.    A (or B).
  23.  
  24. 2. Open the Windows Program Manager and choose File|Run. In the Run
  25.    dialog box, type "A:\install" (or "B:\install") and press <ENTER>.
  26.  
  27.    The Borland Visual Solutions Pack Installation dialog box
  28.    appears. The first line of the BVSP installation dialog box
  29.    contains the installation path of the BVSP Directory
  30.    (i.e. C:\BVSP). This is where the the product is installed.
  31.    The second line contains the location of the Windows directory
  32.    (i.e. C:\Windows). This field cannot be changed.
  33.  
  34. 3. To install the complete Borland Visual Solutions Pack product
  35.    (the default installation), click the Install button.
  36.  
  37.    If you don't want to install the full product, click the
  38.    Customize Installation button to open the Customize
  39.    Installation dialog box. Inside this dialog box, you'll 
  40.    find a list of VBX controls that you can install. Select
  41.    the individual VBX controls you want to install (the file
  42.    size of each VBX control is listed next to each control).
  43.    After making your selections, click OK to return to the
  44.    Install dialog box. Click the install button to proceed with
  45.    the installation.

  47.    If you need help, click the Help button reference the Help window.

  50. RUNTIME ERROR
  51. =============
  52. The following run-time error messages can be generated:
  53.  
  54.     "Control is run-time version"
  55.     "Cannot load VBX Control"
  56.     "File is not a DLL"
  57.  
  58. If you receive a run-time error, check the location of the .VBX and
  59. .LIC files. They need to be located in the Windows\System subdirectory
  60. in order to run properly.
