  1. This disk contains several demo files that may be of interest :

  3. 1.  VGAFC : A file that illustrates the possibility of creating false color
  4.     composites for 16-color VGA systems. View it using COLOR and the VGAFC
  5.     palette, without a legend. This imge was created by creating a normal
  6.     composite, clustering the result to 16 levels (fine clusters), stretching
  7.     each of the original bands to 64 levels, crosstabing the clusters
  8.     against these stretched image and noting the peak frequency grey level
  9.     for each cluster, and using these to create a 16 leel palette. For those
  10.     with 8514A systems, compare the result to BRAZILFC using a false color
  11.     composite.

  13. 2.  AFSURF : A file that illustrates the combination of hillshading with
  14.     orthographic display. View it with COLOR, greyscale palette and no
  15.     legend. A dense terrain model was subjected to the hillshading option of
  16.     SURFACE and subsequently stretched to 16 levels. This was then draped
  17.     onto the original terrain model and the resulting was was "dumped" with
  18.     the "s" (save) option of ORTHO.
