  5. To install IDRISI, run the INSTALL installation program on this disk by
  6. typing "INSTALL". The following points should also be noted :
  7.  
  8. 1.   The version of ORTHO85 distributed with this version does not support
  9.      legends or titles (owing to a problem with the 8514 graphics driver
  10.      we use). We hope to support this with a future version. For now, use
  11.      ORTHO for most uses, but use ORTHO85 for cases where you wish to
  12.      drape 256-level images (such as color composites) over terrain
  13.      models.

  15. 2.   The AutoCad routine included here (ACDTOIDR.LSP) supports output of
  16.      Version 3 vector files. However, this should not present any major
  17.      difficulties since Version 4 can read these files. See the file
  18.      named ACDTOIDR.MEM for further details.

  20. 3.   This copy of IDRISI includes a free copy of the digitizing program
  21.      named TOSCA by Jeff Jones. This is an independent product from
  22.      IDRISI. However, since this version was created to work very closely
  23.      with IDRISI, it also reads the IDRISI environment file (IDRISI.ENV).
  24.      The digitizer port specified in the IDRISI environment should therefore
  25.      be set correctly for TOSCA to work (in addition to the parameters
  26.      set in the digitizer configuration file). See the TOSCA manual for
  27.      details.
