  28.                         Installing FlexFile
  29.

  31. The diskette you received should contain three files:
  32.  
  33.     1.  FlexFile.exe - A self extracting "zip" file which itself contains:
  34.  
  35.              FlexFile.lib - The library for use with Clipper 5.0
  36.              Flex_87.lib  - The library for use with Clipper S'87
  37.              FlexFile.ng  - The Norton Guides database for use with
  38.                             Norton's Instant Access Engine (the engine
  39.                             is not included).
  40.              FlexFile.doc - A text file for use by those who do not
  41.                             have the Norton Instant Access Engine.
  42.              Vconvert.prg - A conversion utility written by Don Caton
  43.                             which can be used to convert DBT files
  44.                             to FlexFile's DBV type files.  This utility
  45.                             must be compiled with the Clipper 5.0
  46.                             compiler.

  48.     2.  Readme.txt - A small file containing last minute changes and
  49.                      omissions from the printed manual.

  51.     3.  Install.txt - This file.

  54. Before using FlexFile you must "un-pack" FlexFile.exe.  In order to
  55. do this, simply copy FlexFile.exe to an empty directory on your hard
  56. drive and type "FlexFile".
  57.  
  58. Next you will want to copy FlexFile.lib and Flex_S87.lib to your Clipper
  59. 5.0 library directory and your Summer 87 library directory, respectively.
  60.  
  61. Now, if you use the Norton Instant Access Engine, copy the FlexFile.ng
  62. into the directory with the rest of your Norton Guides databases.
  63.  
  64. Copy the Vconvert.prg program to your working ".prg" directory.  Remember
  65. that this can only be compiled with Clipper 5.0.

  67. Finally, be sure to read the readme.txt file.  It has the most
  68. up-to-date information about FlexFile.
