- MICE MAZE GAME DIRECTIONS
- _________________________
-
- OBJECTIVE
-
- The objective of Mice Maze is to find and rescue your friend
- the Red Mouse, trapped somewhere in this puzzle maze.
-
-
- GAME PLAY
-
- In this adventure strategy game, you will be represented
- by the Blue Mouse. At the start of a new game you will
- be put into a puzzle maze which consists of 36 rooms.
- Use the < Arrow Keys > to move your mouse about each room.
-
- There are mouse doors on the side of the room which will
- allow you to exit the room and move into a new one.
-
- When you enter a new room, a map will pop up on the game
- board to help identify your location. You can also press
- the <M>ap key to see the map at anytime during the game.
- The present room number is displayed to the right of the
- game board below the picture of the seated mouse.
-
-
- STORY LINE
-
- Your first objective will be to acquire 10,000 points.
- When you reach the 10,000 point mark you will be given
- an extra life and also further instructions on how to
- find your friend the Red Mouse. The adventure would not
- be an adventure if I told you what twists and turns this
- puzzle will take... you'll have to discover that for yourself.
-
-
- OBJECTS
-
- CHEESE: Your mouse needs cheese for strength, so grab these
- whenever you can. If you run out of cheese the game will
- be over no matter how many lives you have left. Every 20
- moves of your mouse or when you exit a room, one cheese
- will be subtracted from your cheese total.
-
- GRILLS: These circular grills are immovable and cannot be blasted
- or removed with bombs.
-
- CANS: There are green cans located in most of the rooms. These
- cans give you extra points if you can reach them.
-
- CATS: In each of the rooms, there are cats on the prowl. The
- light yellow cats are slower and the purple cats are much
- faster. If you get caught by a cat, you will lose one life.
-
- TRAPPING
- THE CATS: You can eliminate the cats from the room by pushing the
- blocks to surround them. If you can push the blocks in
- such a way as the cat has no where to move, then it will
- be removed and a an extra cheese will be placed somewhere
- in the room. If two cats are trapped together then they
- will not be removed. You must trap them individually.
- Once you leave a room, all the cats you trapped earlier
- will reappear again the next time you enter that room.
-
- BOMBS: These bombs are used to blast through the blocks. To
- activate a bomb, press the < SPACE BAR > and then press
- the < Arrow Key > to signify where you want to throw the bomb.
-
- HOLES: In many of the rooms there are mouse holes that you can go
- into. Sometimes you'll find extra items like cheese and
- bombs, but other times you'll find nothing. Beware... you
- can also drop some items when going into these holes.
-
-
