  18. Finding files on hard drives can be a nightmare, and finding
  19. files on removable disks such as CD-ROMs, Zip disks and
  20. diskettes can be impossible. SuperCat lets you catalog all
  21. your disks, so you'll never lose a file again.
  22.  
  23. Made for Windows 95/98, NT (4.0 or later), Me and 2000, 
  24. SuperCat is an easy-to-use utility for cataloging, searching 
  25. and managing removable disks (CD-ROM, Zip, Jaz, SuperDisk, 
  26. diskettes, etc.), hard disks and network drives.

  28. SuperCat 4.2 is both easy to use for novice users, and has powerful 
  29. features required by professional users like, network administrators.

  31. Working with catalogs (also referred to as indexes and indexfiles),
  32. you can easily locate files on removable disks, even if the disk is
  33. not physically accessible from your computer.

  35. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  36. ===================
  37. - 486 PC (minimum). Pentium or higher recommended
  38. - Windows 95/98, NT (v4.0 or later), Me or Windows 2000
  39. - VGA or Super-VGA monitor
  40. - 2 MB (minimum) of free disk space
  41. - A mouse or equivalent pointing device

  43. INSTALL/UNINSTALL
  44. =================
  45. Extract the files to a temporary directory. You can delete this
  46. directory when setup has completed.  Run Setup.exe and follow the
  47. instructions.  Use one of these methods to run Setup.exe:
  48.  
  49. - Select Run from the Taskbar Start menu, type the full path of the
  50.   temporary directory followed by a backslash and the name of the
  51.   installation program (e.g., C:\TEMP\SETUP.EXE).  Press the ENTER key.
  52. - Use My Computer or Explorer to find the Setup.exe file.  Double-
  53.   click the icon to run it.

  55. You can uninstall SuperCat by double-clicking on "Add/Remove Programs"
  56. in the control panel, selecting SuperCat in the list, and clicking the
  57. "Add/Remove" button.  After uninstalling, you will need to manually
  58. remove the SuperCat directory and any files left in it since the
  59. uninstall does not remove any data files that have been created.
