  13. Introduction:

  15. This codec is part of the video server. This codec must be installed if you
  16. want to use the AVIWrapper server mode in the Premiere Video Server Plugin.

  18. Please see the readme.txt of Premiere Video Server Plugin for more information.

  20. Installation:
  21. -------------
  22. This can be done by running the install-script aviwrap.inf. Right-click the file,
  23. and select 'install'.

  25. If everything went okay you will find the codec in:
  26.  Settings->Control Panel->Multimedia->Devices->Video Compression Codecs->AVIWrapper.
  27.  Settings->Control Panel->Multimedia->Devices->Audio Compression Codecs->AVIWrapper.

  29. Please note that the path where the files are stored is not allowed to have a directory
  30. name with more than 8 chars when running Windows 9x. So if the files are stored in
  31. c:\videoserver\aviwrap (videoserver is more than 8 chars) you will not be able
  32. to install the aviwrapper codecs. Use c:\temp instead
  33.  
  34. If you are running W2000/XP/NT4, you need administator rights to install/un-install
  35. the codecs.
