  1. The character menu:
  2. this menu contains five selec-
  3. tions that will enable a player
  4. to perform character and party
  5. options.
  6.  
  7. 1. create character:
  8. There are five steps required
  9. to create a character:
  10.  
  11.  I. enter the name that will be
  12.  bestowed upon the character.
  13.  
  14.  II. choose a race - click on
  15.  the desired picture.
  16.  
  17.  III. select the characters
  18.  profession.  again, click on
  19.  the desired picture.
  20.  
  21.  IV. start random generation of
  22.  the characters abilities.  to
  23.  re-roll the abilities, use the
  24.  re-roll icon.  once you are
  25.  satisfied with your characters
  26.  abilities, choose the
  27.  accept icon.
  28.  
  29.  V. select a portrait that will
  30.  represent the character.  Use
  31.  the arrow icons to flip through
  32.  the available portraits, then
  33.  click on the accept icon when
  34.  you get to the picture that you
  35.  like.
  36.  
  37. 2. add character:
  38. This option will allow a
  39. character that is stored on
  40. disk to be added to the current
  41. party.  Click on the name of
  42. the character that you wish to
  43. add to the party.  An existing
  44. character must be dropped before
  45. a new character can be added.
  46. when you are finished adding
  47. characters, click on the current
  48. party data area and you will
  49. be returned to the character
  50. options menu.

  52. 3. drop character:
  53. The current party is displayed
  54. with the characters name and
  55. his or her picture within the
  56. small window.  click on the
  57. picture of the character that
  58. you wish to drop, or anywhere
  59. else on the screen to return to
  60. the character menu.

  62. 4. erase character:
  63. when a character has outlived
  64. his or her usefulness, this
  65. option will remove them per-
  66. manently from the hard drive.
  67. A list of characters is dis-
  68. played with the current party
  69. listed below it.  click on a
  70. character from the list and
  71. a yes-no confirmation will
  72. come up.  choosing yes will
  73. erase that character.  To
  74. return to the character menu,
  75. click on the area where the
  76. current party is displayed.

  78. 5. previous menu:
  79. this option will return you
  80. to the beginning menu.
