  1. IconAuthor ActionMedia II Driver Release Notes

  4. IconAuthor's ActionMedia II driver allows you to use the IconAuthor
  5. video icons to load and play ActionMedia II (AVS) files.  This
  6. driver (IADVIOS2.DRV) is based on the Intel DVI Multimedia Driver
  7. for OS/2.
  8.  
  9. These release notes cover the use of IconAuthor's ActionMedia II driver.

  11. INSTALLATION
  12. ************

  14. To install the IconAuthor ActionMedia II driver do the following:
  15.  
  16. 1. Follow hardware installation instructions that came with the
  17. ActionMedia II board.  Perform the Intel diagnostics test to insure
  18. that the board is installed correctly.
  19.  
  20. 2. During the IconAuthor installation, select Digital Video drivers.
  21.  
  22. 3. Run IconAuthor
  23.  
  24. 4. Select Setup Video from the Options menu.  Select ActionMedia II
  25. as the video player and select ActionMedia II for the video port.
  26.  
  27. 6. Select Setup Overlay from the Options menu.  Select ActionMedia II
  28. as the overlay device.

  30. NEW DIGITAL VIDEO FEATURE

  33. We have added new functions to the V:Overlay icon to support digital video.
  34.  
  35. **The "Source" command for the V:Overlay icon is used to define a digital   
  36.   video file as a source.
  37.  
  38.   The following example places the file confplay.avs in video window 1
  39.   (MAX 1 WINDOW).

  54. same way as documented in the manual.  Any differences in functionality
